PostSubject: Rebel Modeling: Princess Edition - Assignment 7 Due March 29th   Tue Dec 02, 2014 10:41 pm

I know it's a super busy time of year, but I'm looking forward to this competition starting up. I've been known to take relatively dull themes and twist them up for all kinds of fun.

In the past, I've had competitions that took whole fairytales and twisted them, but for this one, we're going to put a rebellious twist on the stereotypical cutesie Disney Princess! This competition will require creativity and a bit of an imagination to create rebellious princesses in fun and clever settings.

This isn't your typical fashion competition - your model can (and probably should) change every round to suit the assigned princess

Assignments will also require you to be creative in set design to give a fantastical feel to the photo.

ASSIGNMENT 7: ELSA

Hey...we can't do Anna without throwing Elsa into the mix. So sit tight and get creative!!

What will we do with our wonderfully complicated Elsa? She's beautiful, elegant, mysterious, and very powerful!! So, what are you going to have to do to show me her rebellious side? Well, she's got control over snow right? Do something magical and outrageous to show off her abilities in a rebellious manner. This doesn't have to go dark, but you can definitely make it that way if you like.

Requirements
ONE Photo
THIN Black Border
Rebellious Elsa
FULL Bodyshot
Magical Abilities

FIRST OFF, SOME WORDS FROM BEECH:

I really appreciate that you guys did so well with this and went very creative and unique routes. Anna is already kind of rebellious and fun, so I knew this would be tricky for you guys to push the limits. You did wonderfully! Keep up the excellent work.

We lost 2 people to dropping.

I adore your Anna. While I love the idea of her running amuck in the castle, I was more drawn to the fact that you created a spot on Anna. She’s got those big beautiful green eyes, the clothing is perfect, and the hairstyle is exact! I love it! I think your idea was cute and adorable, just like Anna as well!

I love you for including Anna’s white streak! If there was any doubt in the world that this was Anna, that eliminates it completely. I think this is a really cute idea; I love that guard in the background and I think your model is perfect. She looks like Anna and she definitely looks like a silly prankster! I think you could have been a little bit more creative in regards to the setting, but overall this is very cute and I love it!

2ND PLACE

I loved this photo. You did a really great job showing a wonderfully decorated setting and I loved the whole idea you went with. Her hopeless romanticism is kind of why I love her so much and I love that you twisted that into a girl who FINALLY gets to flaunt her stuff…hey why not? Love it!

This is such a clever idea! I think it suits Anna perfectly. I like all of the guys around her, and I love Kristoff in the background! I think having her in a ski resort place is clever, but I would have liked to see a little bit more color in the background, like a rug or something, and a little bit of a stronger connection to Arendelle. I think your model and your styling is perfect, I just wish she wasn’t looking up so much!

I can’t believe how wonderful this is. I really adore every single detail you put into this. I love that Kristoff still wears a beanie, I love that his “Sven” is a motorcycle, I love the “K+A+ <3” on the bike, I love that Anna is obviously still Anna with her pigtails. I just…Ugh! Love it! That being said, it is a little awkward. Anna is kind of floating there…she doesn’t quite fit into the shot and there are some pretty rough edges. But honestly, just wow with your details!

Creativity: 10/10
Setting/Background: 8/10
Rebel Princess: 8.5/10
Total: 26.5/30

This is so clever! My favorite part is “Sven” on the motorcycle. I can’t get over how cute that is! The quality is a little bit off in some places, like the motorcycle is pretty blurry compared to the sims and the background, and Anna looks a little bit like she’s floating. Something is also a little bit off with the braids, they don’t’ look quite natural. I love this picture though, and I absolutely adore your Kristoff model!

Soooo, I adore this photo. I think it’s got excellent coloring, a lot of intriguing things in the setting, and that guy in the background…*drool* I have to agree with Ava though, where’s the Anna in this? I see your main model is supposed to be Anna, of course, but I’m confused about the chemistry set and what she’s supposedly doing that’s rebellious!

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Creativity: 7/10
Setting/Background: 9/10
Rebel Princess: 7/10
Total: 23/30

So I really love this picture. Your set is awesome and super detailed and that guy standing in the doorway is like sooo dreamy like I want him in my game but I can’t find any connections between this and Anna, which is what brought your score down. I see the red hair and green eyes, but I don’t understand why Anna would be in a chemistry type setting or how this would make her a rebel. Also be careful of clipping! I love this picture, I love her pose and I think the composition is great, but I just can’t find Anna!

Me too. (being in, that is.)

And also me too about the move.

My grandmother keeps asking me what appliances I need and what washer and dryer I think I'm going to get and I'm like "SHOULDN'T YOU BE ASKING ME IF I'M MOVING TO A GOOD NEIGHBORHOOD?" lol

Speaking of Poopy neighborhoods, some weird lady interrupted my conversation today and I was like... um... (she asked what my pants size was cause I was talking about pants? WTF?) Anyway Jay said I need more social skills, I was like, no, she butted into my conversation and asked for personal information, THAT'S RUDE.

And then my cat was sitting in the window and some kid threw a rock at it and roared at her.

CAN NOT WAIT TO MOOOOVEEEE

I feel like we have enough reserves that I can go ahead and work on my idea... I have what I think is a pretty good idea and IT'S BURNING AT MY BRAINMEATS!

I spent all day just PLAYING my game. I finally went into the future, despite having the expansion since about two months after it came out. Jim-Bob has seven future-kids and they're all ugly. So he went home and adopted a puppy, but he keeps taking away its chew toy and then getting pissed off when it scratches the furniture. I wish TS3 sims had common sense. LOL

Anyway, I might go into my game soon. I think I'm going to bring Sophia Zabat back. Re-designed, of course... but I loved her Greek nose.

*explodes*

Nicolla, she is beautiful!

Vana....ITF is most def one of my top fave EPs. I probably played my game more after that came out than I have since finding the modeling community

And speaking of modeling....I have no clue what to do or what headshot to take but I will have it before deadline--unless inspiration strikes. LOL
