Eyelash Tutorial - GIMP

Step 1.

Open the photo that you will be working with. I am using an image that will require me to move the lashes around, so you can see how to properly fit the lashes to a set of eyes.

Step 2.

You will now need to "Add new layer", It is very important to always remember to add the layer before applying the eyelashes. This is what allows you to move just the eyelash around without touching the base photo.

Step 3.

You will now change your paint color to "BLACK" and select the eyelashes from your paint brushes to apply. You will need to download the eyelash brushes before you try this.

Step 4.

Now you will hover the lash brush over your sims eye to try and scale the lash to fit the eye. Once you have scaled it to fit, you simply apply the eyelash. Clearly this lash is not rotated correctly, so I will show you how to do that as well.

Step 5.

Now go to your "Rotate" tool. This can be found TOOLS>TRANSFORM>ROTATE or you can use the rotate button in the toolbox. I will now rotate my eyelash until it looks like it would fit properly on the eye. You can rotate the eyelash layer as much as you need, until you find something that works for you.

Step 6.

I will now grab the "Move" tool and move the eyelash directly over the eye to fit properly. Remember this was after I rotated the lash to line up with the eye.

Step 7

Repeat the same steps for the next eye. DONT FORGET the New layer! When you are finished with both sets of eyes, You can take the fuzzy circle brush eraser and go over any unwanted lash that may not fit properly.
