New* Before & After Editing

Xsweet I've never drawn hair either but I have started to add to the hair I am using. It's a good way for me to get the hang of how that hair should flow. I did it in this before and after. Now I need to just dive in.

You're definitely getting the hang of it Jaybee! The strands are much smoother and the shadows have much improved. The next thing I'd suggest is really nitpicking on the flow of the hair, you've got a few unnatural strands that overlap where they shouldn't, for example on the fringe at the top where there is a clump that doesn't flow in the same direction as the rest. I pretty much got to this point too -

Yes, I am aware I'm contradicting myself as you can see strands on mine that don't join right but that was my 2/3/4th go at it, I've much to go to improve myself!

Thanks for the advice, Azura! It was only my third go at hair drawing, and I know I'll continue to improve! Your hair drawings all look flipping amazing! I don't think they should always flow perfectly. That's not how hair always is... There's some uneven-ness to real hair.

Oh, thanks so much! It's taking me less and less time too, to draw hair. The paths tool took some getting used to.

This is my newest assignment from a comp on the officials.

It's my first wavy hair . Dang was it hard to figure out at first! I used a few pics, sim pics and real pics, for guidance. The hair itself probably took five hours . I'm not going to draw wavy hair that often, LOL.
