Scruffy, very cool. :D I'd just be careful about over blurring your pictures, because it makes the quality not look so great, even though it looks very nice in the original. Other than that, really nice picture

You know what I find weird? I don't actually blur the photo, it just turns up like that. I'm beginning to think that my computer hates the softglow effect(that's where I'm noticing the changes), which is a shame because it's one of my favorite features in Gimp. Oh well, I'll have my flawless headshot in rather soon. Hopefully that will make up for the horrible quality...

Yes soft glow blurs and that's why I often stay away from it because it can deteriorate the quality!

I'm actually pretty happy with it, but I can't find a background for it anywhere. It has to be at night, and I was thinking maybe a street or an alleyway, but I can't find anything.

Otherwise scruffy the editing is gorgeous, and the quality of the original is superb and your model is sooo pretty <3

Jewels- Wowweee, so pretty, *constructive criticism time*
I would suggest changing how you do shadows though, it looks like she's hovering. I suggest making a copy of your sim, desaturate till she's a black silhouette, gaussian blur, and manipulate the size of it instead.

Rey- Wow! You completely changed the atmosphere so it's dramatic o.o how'd ya do it? so intense <3

Simmie- OMG! That's gorgeous! As Beech said I like the vignette sort of look on the second but I dunno, not too keen on the heavy shadows, perhaps change opacity?

Myna - wiefniorenf, that's such a beautiful dress! and the hair matches so well, it's drawn very nicely indeed! The glove is uber cool, though the thumb seems very light in comparison to her hand? Gosh. I just love it, I'm sure you'll do well in SMS ! The fur is absolutely incredible, she reminds me of my mesmer from GW1

I'm far from finished but I've just given up on it because I have a short attention span....
I discovered warping the other week when trying to muster a tutorial up and so I decided I'd actually have a proper go with it this time seeming as I definitely need practise if I want to enter LBB with the insane talent on this forum -

So hey, if you like, feel free to continue editing it if you're bored, add some beads and silk to make her look like Meg, , Idk.

So here we have a combination of
Pose combining, Warping (I know, I'm very far from perfect at it), A bit of repainting, Shading (I suck at shading, I tried tutorials but it never seems to have the crisp white sheeeen) , clothes drawing, face magic, Adding noise - which is the first time I've ever used it, methinks that's about it

You can probably see all sorts of things wrong with the anatomy. I'm eeeeh not so good with that, but it's hardly meant to be lifelike seeming as her curves are meant to be seriously exaggerated.

Considering what I had to start with, I was surprised at how not distorted or having too many blurry spots it was!

Amylet: LOVE the effect, it looks gorgeous and very mysterious, I can't do effects to save my life! And thank you!

Azara: Woah! You went from that before picture, which is... Well, messed up, I don't even know what is, to that after? It's lovely, very pin-uppy andmy first thought when I saw that hair was Meg aswell. My only advice is that the shading on her backside looks a little heavy, but still not bad! And thank you for your comments and your tips, I'm glad you're not afraid to give constructive criticism and I appreciate it!

Uggh, and you have revision too? I kno, it sucks :(.
