Before and after....(editing)

First topic message reminder :

I'm kinda fascinated to how your photos start before you edit them, sometimes I don't realise quite how much/little editing makes all your great pics ^_^ So if you want I would love to see some before and afters =)

Sean, I think those are a wings brush. Some of them look SO FREAKIN' GOOD.

I love doing fairies and yes it's a GIMP brush. The colour pop was required anyways but I love doing that too~

The wings are a GIMP brush, I can't remember where I got it from but I found a website with lots of wing brushes on there: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Once you download the brush, unzip it and then move it into your brushes folder (which should be in the gimp folder).

Plus editing the wings on looks much better than in-game wings, seeing as they tend too look a bit out-of-place. ^^

for the rare occasion I do skin smooth, i just go over with the blur tool extremely lightly :P

Lol I've NEVER touched the smudge or blur tool xD I feel all left out lol But I like my sims to look all rugged and real, well mainly the guys lol

I did hair drawing a la Bliss this time, as I haven't quite devised my own way of doing black hair. But I made my own changes, so... I guess I have actually.
*Cropped
*Skin shaded
*Fixed where the boot was stuffed into my leg
*Decided I needed more cleavage
*Drew hair atop a very silly hair. I actually like it now. it's fun to mess with.

I did... it's the sci-fi one, for the edited.

Oh. Here's my in-game, though it's not really a before and after... it's a before and still the same XD I decided to just use mah headshot. It's one of my favorite unediteds.

I tried out some curves and filters and I like how it turned out and i never skin smooth I just make new layers and guassin blur on them for skin shading. Recently I have experimented with dodge/burn:

I had to do some editing for a botched pose, so I went ahead and did some other touch ups as well. This is my first attempt ever, not even a tutorial.

This is my entry for the final of "Crazy and Colourful" - I like it :3

I'll post the description after the picture too, because otherwise it's a little strange haha!

Sandy the crazy and colourful faery was feeling a little bored one evening, and so she decided to sit upon the Great Rainbow since it was looking just beautiful tonight. Her feet sparkled as she easily skipped up the colourful bridge. As she sat down, swinging her legs over the edge, she was suddenly startled by loud banging noises! She instantly looked up and saw ginormous fireworks in every shape, size and colour bursting from the darkness of the clear skies! The fireworks were even brighter than her magical sparkles which surrounded her in a white glow. As she tried to regain her balance, she slipped and began to slide down the rainbow rapidly! She tried to slow down with her hand but it was no use; her legs and other arm were flailing while her necklace attempted to fly off her neck! When she finally reached the end of the rainbow she noticed a large sign stuck onto the pot of gold, it said:

"DO NOT GO ON THE GREAT RAINBOW TONIGHT AS THE ANNUAL FANTASTIC FAIRYLAND FIREWORKS ARE HAPPENING!"

So that was why the Rainbow was deserted...

Ooooh you just made it 50% easier for me to judge :D
